Trips to Deliver Scholarships to Students

Dear Sponsors of Rice Scholarship Program (RSP),

We are very delighted to inform you that the RSP has seen an unbelievably successful fundraising campaign in this school year. Thanks to your strong support and generous donations, as of today 23 February 2014, our funds is already sufficient for 1.100 scholarships (VND 850K or CAD 43 each).

We also would like to inform you that we are planning two trips to Dien Bien and Lao Cai Provinces to deliver scholarships to disadvantaged students. Below are details of these trips:

1. Trip to Dien Bien Province:
Time: from February 28 to March 3, 2014.
In this trip we are going to deliver 629 scholarships to 629 students in 6 districts of Dien Bien Province.

2. Trip to Lao Cai Province
Time: from March 21-24, 2014.
In this trip, we are going to deliver 302 scholarships to 302 students in 2 district of Lao Cai Province.

As always, after the trips we will send you photos of your beneficiary student(s) and their thank-you notes and provide you with information of activities taken during these trips.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all so much for your kind support, caring and continuous generous donations to help disadvantaged children in Vietnam. Your generous support has been a great encouragement for the kids to overcome their difficulties in order to continue their schooling.

Rice Scholarship in Vietnam

The Rice Scholarship Program is a charity program aiming to assist disadvantaged students, particularly those from ethnic minority groups, in remote and mountainous areas, to continue their education. The program was initiated in 2005. Individual donors contribute money, time and effort to raise fund, establish relations with local partners, coordinate and manage the program on a voluntary basis.
